About Me

I have been a software engineer since 1990. Before that, I was a hardware engineer.

I worked at a startup company for several years. Working at a startup company entails a lot of work and long hours. All that work paid off several years later, when our small company was bought by a large company for a very large sum of money.

My specialty is user interface software, which is software that makes computers easy to use, safe, and enjoyable.

I have two advanced degrees from San Jose State University: one in Psychology, and the other in Computer Science.

I dropped out of the Ph.D. program at U.C. Santa Cruz to work at a startup company.

In 2012–2014, I completed four certificates in Graphic Design at Mission College. I have mastered Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Dreamweaver, InDesign, PHP, JavaScript, Python, Perl, Java, C#, Android app development, and iOS app development.

I currently teach three technology classes:
  • Web Development with PHP and MySQL at Mission College
  • Introduction to Programming with C++ at Ohlone College
  • Mobile App Design and Coding at Silicon Valley Career Technical Education

My hobby is making small icons, especially by writing SVG code by hand. Here are some icons I created, in SVG, Illustrator, and Photoshop:
